Policy Presentation: April 2015

Policy presentation from K2 Corporate Mobility

On Tuesday 21st April, K2 Corporate Mobility were invited as subject matter experts to host a table on policy design at the UK Expat Academy’s Club 100 networking event. Club 100 aims to connect mobility professionals with an international assignee population of under 100.

This event provided organisations with an opportunity to share information on current issues and receive first class technical training on mobility topics.

Policy challenges

Running a successful mobility program in a complex, challenging and regulation heavy environment requires a strategic approach. The ultimate goal of many companies now is to align Global Mobility with overall HR and business objectives- working towards becoming ‘true business partners’. Adapting to this change requires organisations to review their service delivery model, partnerships with vendors and the overall structure of their international assignment programs and policies.

Finding an innovative way to structure assignments, building flexibility into policies whilst remaining compliant and cost focussed is a difficult challenge. Policy design is therefore a relevant topic and our presentation on 21st April centred around:

  • Understanding current practices and evolving market trends
  • Key move drivers and their influence on policy eligibility
  • Building flexibility into policy design
  • Policy implementation
